• Always read the label and follow directions for use.
• Pharmacist consultation may be required before supply.
• Schedule 3 Pharmacist Only Medicine.
• Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
• This product is not suitable for children aged 6–12 years unless advised by a pharmacist or doctor.
• Do not use if you are allergic to promethazine hydrochloride, other phenothiazines, sodium metabisulfite, sodium sulfite, sodium benzoate, or any ingredient in this medicine.
• Do not use in newborn or premature infants.
• Do not use if you are breastfeeding.
• Do not use if you are taking or have recently taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor medicine.
• Do not use in anyone who is unconscious, in a coma, or has severe central nervous system depression.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, over 65 years, or have liver or kidney disease, epilepsy, heart disease, blood pressure problems, breathing problems, glaucoma, prostate problems, stomach ulcer or blockage, bladder problems, or an irregular heartbeat.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you take, especially sedatives, sleeping tablets, opioids, antidepressants, antipsychotics, other antihistamines, alcohol, or medicines for irregular heartbeat.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision or reduced alertness. Do not drive or operate machinery if affected.
• Avoid alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness and side effects.
• Promethazine may make skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use sun protection when outdoors.
• Seek urgent medical advice if breathing difficulty, severe drowsiness, confusion, hallucinations, convulsions, fast heartbeat, severe allergic reaction, or unusual behaviour occurs.
• If you think too much has been taken, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek urgent medical attention.

• Contains: Sulfites, sodium benzoate and maltitol

• Store below 25°C.
• Protect from light.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat and sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Return expired or unwanted medicine to a pharmacy for safe disposal.
