TALLAWONG PHARMACY: Shipping Policy

At Tallawong Pharmacy, we aim to provide safe, reliable, and timely delivery of your orders. This Shipping Policy outlines how we process, pack, and deliver online purchases in accordance with NSW regulations and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Order Processing Times

  • Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
  • Orders placed before 2:00 pm are generally processed on the same business day.
  • Orders placed after 2:00 pm or on weekends will be processed on the next business day.

If an item is unexpectedly out of stock, we will contact you promptly to discuss alternatives or refund options.

Delivery Methods

We offer the following delivery options:

Australia Post – Standard Shipping

  • Available Australia-wide.
  • Delivery timeframes depend on your location.
  • Tracking details will be provided once your order is dispatched.

Same Day Delivery via Chemist2u

  • Available to selected postcodes near Tallawong.
  • Same-day or next-day delivery may be offered where available.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times (after dispatch):

  • NSW Metro: 1–3 business days
  • NSW Regional: 2–5 business days
  • Interstate: 3–7 business days

These are estimates only. Once dispatched, delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather events, or peak periods (e.g., Christmas).

As required under the ACL, delays caused by shipping carriers are not considered a failure of service by the retailer; however, we will always assist in tracking and resolving concerns.

Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on product type and delivery method:

  • Standard Shipping (Regular items): $9
  • Standard Shipping (Heavy / bulky items): $15

Any free-shipping promotions (if applicable) will be clearly displayed on our Website and automatically applied at checkout.

Delivery Restrictions

For safety and legal compliance:

  • Prescription medicines and Schedule 3 Pharmacy-Only medicines cannot be shipped unless approved and legally dispensed by our pharmacist.
  • Some items (e.g., aerosols, flammable goods) may be restricted by postal carriers.

If your order includes items we cannot legally ship, we will contact you to arrange alternatives or issue a refund.

Authority to Leave (ATL)

  • By selecting ATL at checkout, you authorise Australia Post/courier to leave your parcel in a safe location.
  • Tallawong Pharmacy is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage after the parcel has been delivered under ATL instructions.

If ATL is not selected, the parcel may be taken to the nearest Australia Post office for collection.

Incorrect Address or Non-Delivery

Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate at checkout.

  • If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided, redelivery or re-shipping fees may apply.
  • If an order is returned to us unclaimed or undeliverable, we will contact you to arrange reshipment (fees may apply).

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels

Under Australian Consumer Law:

  • We will assist you if your parcel is lost or significantly delayed, including raising an investigation with the carrier.
  • If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and product.

If a product is faulty or damaged due to our packaging, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair in accordance with the ACL.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive:

  • A shipment confirmation email
  • A tracking number from Australia Post or the courier service

You can track your delivery via the carrier’s website.
