Pharmacy Choice - Oral Rehydration Salts Sachet 10's

To treat and prevent dehydration due to diarrhoea and traveller's gastroenteritis.
Suggested Dose
Empty 1 sachet into 200 mL of fresh drinking water and stir to dissolve. For infants or where fresh drinking water is not available, use freshly boiled and cooled water. Do not boil the solution once it is made up. Do not add sugar, soft drinks, sweeteners or other fluids. The solution should be consumed as required whilst diarrhoea is present and should be drunk in small amounts at first if vomiting is also present. Use table on the carton to determine dosage as per age. Reconstituted solution may be stored in a fridge for up to 24 hours. Otherwise, unused solution should be discarded within 1 hour. Safety Information
- Consult a doctor if condition worsens or diarrhoea persists, or the child has decreased urinary output.
- Keep out of reach of children. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if:
- You have kidney disease or are taking heart or blood pressure medicines.
- Giving to children under 6 months. Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than:
- 6 hours for children under 6 months
- 12 hours for children under 3 years
- 24 hours for children aged 3-6 years
- 48 hours for children over 6 years Caution:
- Contains 276 mg of sodium per sachet, or up to 3.312 g in the maximum daily dose. Contains 157 mg of potassium per sachet.
- Contains saccharin sodium and sugars.
