Nilstat Vaginal Cream 75g contains nystatin, an antifungal medicine used for the local treatment of vaginal candidiasis, commonly known as vaginal thrush.

It is used inside the vagina to treat Candida infection and may help relieve symptoms such as itching, burning and thick white discharge when thrush is present. This is a Pharmacist Only Medicine (S3) and pharmacist assessment may be required before supply.

• See your doctor if symptoms are not improving after 3 days, symptoms persist, or symptoms return soon after finishing treatment.
• Do not use condoms or contraceptive diaphragms while using Nilstat Vaginal Cream, as the rubber may be damaged.
• Do not use this medicine to treat any other condition unless advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not share this medicine with anyone else, even if their symptoms seem similar.
• Stop use and seek medical advice if vaginal irritation, sensitivity or unusual symptoms occur.
• If too much is used or accidentally swallowed, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek medical advice.
• Do not use if the packaging is torn, damaged, tampered with or past the expiry date.

Ingredients

• Active ingredient: Each 5g of vaginal cream contains nystatin 100,000 units.
• Other ingredients: Purified water, sodium hydroxide, lactic acid, sorbic acid, glycerol, isopropyl myristate and emulsifying wax.
• Does not contain gluten, lactose, sucrose, tartrazine or other azo dyes.

Storage Instructions

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep the cream in its packaging until ready to use.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture.
• Do not store in the bathroom, near a sink, in the car or on windowsills.
• Keep out of reach of children.
