MOVIPREP BOWEL PREP

• Always read the label and follow directions for use.
• Pharmacist consultation may be required before supply.
• For adults 18 years and over.
• Do not use if you are allergic to macrogol 3350, sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium ascorbate, ascorbic acid or any listed ingredient.
• Do not use if you have bowel obstruction, bowel perforation, gastric retention, ileus, severe inflammatory bowel disease, toxic megacolon, severe dehydration, phenylketonuria or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
• Speak to your doctor before use if you have heart problems, heart rhythm problems, heart failure, kidney problems, thyroid disease, epilepsy, swallowing problems, a tendency to regurgitate, dehydration, reduced consciousness, or are on a sodium-restricted or potassium-restricted diet.
• Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
• Tell your doctor, pharmacist or nurse about all medicines you take, including oral contraceptives, diuretics, calcium channel blockers, corticosteroids and medicines bought without a prescription.
• Do not take oral medicines within 1 hour before, during, or 1 hour after taking Moviprep unless advised by your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
• Oral contraceptive pill protection may be reduced during bowel cleansing; use an alternative contraceptive method as advised by your healthcare professional.
• While taking Moviprep, drink only approved clear fluids as directed. Do not drink alcohol, milk, red or purple coloured drinks, or drinks containing pulp.
• Do not eat while taking Moviprep until after your clinical procedure unless your doctor has instructed otherwise.
• Diarrhoea and watery bowel movements are expected.
• Stop taking Moviprep and contact your doctor immediately if you do not have a bowel movement within 6 hours of taking it.
• Seek urgent medical advice if you experience severe allergic reaction symptoms, seizure, sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, severe vomiting, chest pain, neck pain, difficulty swallowing or difficulty breathing.
• If you think you have taken too much, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek medical help immediately.
• Do not use if the packaging is torn, damaged, tampered with or past the expiry date.

• Active ingredients in Sachet A: Macrogol 3350 100g, sodium sulfate 7.5g, sodium chloride 2.691g, potassium chloride 1.015g.
• Active ingredients in Sachet B: Sodium ascorbate 5.9g, ascorbic acid 4.7g.
• Other ingredients: Aspartame, acesulfame potassium and lemon flavour.
• Contains: Aspartame, phenylalanine, sodium and potassium.
• Each complete treatment contains 8.4g sodium and 1.1g potassium.

• Store sachets below 25°C.
• After mixing with water, keep the prepared solution covered and store at or below 25°C, or in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C.
• Use the prepared solution within 24 hours.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture.
• Do not store in the bathroom, near a sink, in the car or on windowsills.
• Keep out of reach of children.
