Imigran Migraine 50mg Tablets contain sumatriptan, a migraine-specific medicine used for the acute relief of migraine attacks in adults who have a stable, well-established pattern of migraine symptoms.
It may help relieve migraine headache and associated symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light or sound. This is a Pharmacist Only Medicine (S3) and pharmacist assessment may be required before supply.

• Do not use if you are over 65 years unless advised by a doctor.
• Use only if you have previously been diagnosed with migraine and have a stable, well-established pattern of symptoms.
• See a doctor before use if this is your first migraine, your symptoms are unusual, or your headaches are changing, worsening or becoming more frequent.
• Do not use if you are allergic to sumatriptan, sulfonamide medicines, lactose or any listed ingredient.
• Do not use if you have or have had heart disease, heart attack, angina, chest pain, stroke, mini-stroke, peripheral vascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure or severe liver disease.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have risk factors for heart disease, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, smoking, family history of heart problems, being male over 40 years, or being female after menopause.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver or kidney problems, epilepsy, seizures, or a history of stroke.
• Do not use within 24 hours of ergotamine, dihydroergotamine, methysergide or another triptan migraine medicine unless advised by a doctor.
• Do not use if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the last 2 weeks.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist before use if you take antidepressants, SSRIs, SNRIs, St John’s Wort, or any regular medicines.
• Check with your doctor before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Stop taking and seek urgent medical advice if you feel chest pain, tightness, heaviness, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, swelling of the face or throat, wheezing, fainting, severe allergic reaction, seizure, or symptoms of stroke.
• If you think you have taken too much, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek medical help immediately.
• Do not use if the packaging is torn, damaged or past the expiry date.

• Other ingredients: Lactose, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate and Opadry YS-1-1441-G.
• Contains: Lactose.
