DermAid Soft 1% Cream 30g contains hydrocortisone 1% w/w, a mild topical corticosteroid used for temporary relief of redness, swelling, itching and discomfort from minor inflammatory skin conditions.

It is formulated for sensitive and delicate skin areas and may be used for mild eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, insect bites, sunburn and corticosteroid-responsive skin irritation when appropriate. This is a Pharmacist Only Medicine (S3) and pharmacist assessment may be required before supply.

Warnings & Important Information

• Do not use if you are allergic to hydrocortisone, other corticosteroids, phenethyl alcohol or any listed ingredient.
• Do not use on viral, fungal or bacterial skin infections unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
• Hydrocortisone may mask signs of infection. Keep the treated area clean and seek advice if infection is suspected.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Do not apply to the breasts before breastfeeding.
• Avoid long-term continuous use, especially in children, unless advised by a healthcare professional.
• If irritation or sensitivity occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
• If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, discontinue use and see your doctor or pharmacist.
• Seek medical advice if blurred vision or other visual disturbances occur.
• If accidentally swallowed, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Ingredients

• Active ingredient: Hydrocortisone 1% w/w equivalent to 10mg/g.
• Other ingredients: 1,3-butylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol, citric acid, dimeticone 350, disodium edetate, self-emulsifying glyceryl monostearate, light liquid paraffin, PEG-40 stearate, povidone, dibasic sodium phosphate, purified water, xanthan gum and phenethyl alcohol.
• Free from lanolin, parabens, fragrance and chlorocresol.
