PHENERGAN TAB 25MG 50

• Always read the label and follow directions for use.
• Pharmacist consultation may be required before supply.
• Schedule 3 Pharmacist Only Medicine.
• Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
• This product is not suitable for children aged 6–12 years unless advised by a pharmacist or doctor.
• Do not use if you are allergic to promethazine hydrochloride, other phenothiazines, or any ingredient in this medicine.
• Do not use in newborn or premature infants.
• Do not use if you are breastfeeding.
• Do not use if you are taking or have recently taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor medicine.
• Do not use in anyone who is unconscious or in a coma.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, over 65 years, or have kidney or liver disease, Parkinson’s disease, hypothyroidism, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, heart disease, blood pressure problems, breathing problems, glaucoma, prostate problems, stomach ulcer or blockage, bladder problems, or irregular heartbeat.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you take, especially sedatives, sleeping tablets, opioids, antidepressants, antipsychotics, other antihistamines, alcohol, antiarrhythmics, seizure medicines, muscle relaxants, antispasmodics or medicines for nausea and vomiting.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery if affected
• A bedtime dose may still affect you the next morning.
• Avoid alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness and side effects.
• Promethazine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use sun protection when outdoors.
• Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, worsen, or if you experience severe drowsiness, breathing difficulty, confusion, hallucinations, fever, muscle stiffness, fast heartbeat, convulsions, jaundice or signs of allergic reaction.
• If you think too much has been taken, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek urgent medical attention.

• Other ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 200, Opaspray Blue M-1-4210A
• Contains: Lactose

• Keep tablets in the pack until it is time to take them.
• Store below 30°C.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat and sunlight.
• Do not store in the bathroom, near a sink, in the car or on window sills.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Return expired or unwanted medicine to a pharmacy for safe disposal.
