OsteVit-D One-A-Week Capsules 10s contain colecalciferol 175 micrograms, equivalent to Vitamin D3 7000 IU, in a once-weekly soft capsule.

It is used for the treatment of vitamin D deficiency in adults and adolescents over 12 years, as directed by a medical practitioner or pharmacist, and for prevention of vitamin D deficiency in high-risk individuals under professional supervision. This is a Pharmacist Only Medicine (S3) and pharmacist assessment may be required before supply.

• Do not use if you are allergic to colecalciferol, vitamin D, soya oil or any listed ingredient.
• Do not use if you have been told you have high calcium levels, high vitamin D levels, hypervitaminosis D, or severe kidney impairment unless advised by a doctor.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have kidney disease, kidney stones, heart disease, long-standing high blood calcium, malabsorption, leukaemia, lymphoma or sarcoidosis.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you take other medicines or supplements, especially other vitamin D products, calcium or phosphate supplements, thiazide diuretics, seizure medicines, orlistat, antacids, cholestyramine, colestipol, isoniazid, rifampicin, phenytoin or barbiturates.
• Avoid taking additional vitamin D products unless advised by a healthcare professional.
• Your doctor or pharmacist may recommend monitoring calcium, vitamin D and parathyroid hormone levels during treatment.
• Taking too much vitamin D can be harmful and may cause high calcium levels.
• If too much is taken, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or seek medical help immediately.
• Do not use if the packaging is torn, damaged, tampered with or past the expiry date.

• Active ingredient: Colecalciferol 175 micrograms, equivalent to Vitamin D3 7000 IU per capsule.
• Other ingredients: Soya oil, gelatin, glycerol, fractionated coconut oil, purified water and black printing ink.
• Contains: Soya oil and gelatin.

Storage Instructions

• Store below 25°C.
• Protect from light after opening.
• Keep capsules in the pack until ready to take.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat and sunlight.
• Do not store in the bathroom, near a sink, in the car or on windowsills.
• Keep out of reach of children.
