Osteomol 665mg Tablets contain paracetamol 665mg in a modified-release formulation for relief of persistent pain associated with osteoarthritis and muscle aches such as backache.

It may also be used for temporary relief of headache, tension headache, period pain, toothache, pain after dental procedures, colds and flu symptoms, and to reduce fever. This is a Pharmacist Only Medicine (S3) and pharmacist assessment may be required before supply.

Warnings & Important Information

• Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any listed ingredient.
• Do not take with any other medicine containing paracetamol, including cold and flu medicines, unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose. Taking too much paracetamol can cause serious liver damage.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver or kidney disease.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
• Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you take warfarin, metoclopramide, medicines for epilepsy or fits, chloramphenicol, or other regular medicines.
• Drinking large amounts of alcohol while taking paracetamol may increase the risk of liver side effects.
• Stop use and seek medical help if you develop shortness of breath, wheezing, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, rash, itching, hives, unexplained bruising or bleeding.
• If symptoms do not improve, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
• If an overdose is taken or suspected, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or go to hospital immediately, even if you feel well.
• Do not use if the packaging is torn, damaged, tampered with or past the expiry date.

Ingredients

• Active ingredient: Paracetamol 665mg per modified-release tablet.
• Other ingredients: Povidone, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, colloidal anhydrous silica, ethyl cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, Instacoat Universal IC-U-1308 and purified water.
• Does not contain sugar, lactose or gluten.

Storage Instructions

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep tablets in the original pack until ready to take.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture.
• Do not store in the bathroom, near a sink, in the car or on windowsills.
• Keep out of reach of children.
