• Always read the label and follow directions for use.
• Pharmacist consultation may be required before supply.
• Do not use in children under 6 years of age due to the risk of serious breathing, psychiatric and central nervous system effects.
• Children aged 6–12 years should only use this medicine on pharmacist or medical advice.
• Avoid use of tablets in children who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive, operate machinery or do anything dangerous if affected.
• Drowsiness may continue the next morning, especially after a night-time dose.
• Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as sedation may be increased.
• Do not use if you are allergic to promethazine, similar antihistamines, phenothiazines, or any ingredient in this medicine.
• Do not use if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
• Do not use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
• Ask your pharmacist or doctor before use if you have kidney or liver disease, Parkinson’s disease, thyroid problems, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, heart disease, blood pressure problems, breathing problems, glaucoma, prostate problems, bladder problems, stomach ulcer or blockage, or a history of blood disorders.
• Check with your pharmacist or doctor before use if you take sedatives, sleeping tablets, opioid pain medicines, antidepressants, antipsychotics, other antihistamines, antiarrhythmics, seizure medicines, medicines for nausea and vomiting, or other medicines that may cause drowsiness.
• Contains lactose.
• Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, worsen, or if you develop fever, sore throat, signs of infection, breathing difficulty, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, severe rash, confusion, seizures, irregular heartbeat or severe drowsiness.

• Store below 30°C.
• Keep tablets in the pack until it is time to take them.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat and sunlight.
• Do not store in the bathroom, near a sink, in the car or on window sills.
• Keep out of reach of children.
